Meet the Commercial Banking Team

  • Christopher Ragheb Senior Vice President
    Market Manager
    Christopher Ragheb is a senior vice president and Commercial Banking market manager for City National Bank’s Commercial Banking team in Washington, D.C., covering the Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Ragheb leads a team of colleagues working directly with middle market companies and nonprofit organizations to provide comprehensive solutions for all of their commercial banking needs. Services include credit, depository, equipment finance, treasury management, international banking and institutional services solutions.

    Mr. Ragheb has more than 28 years of professional Commercial and Corporate banking experience. Prior to joining City National, he led a series of progressive positions in middle market lending, specialty lending and corporate banking positions as a lender. Most recently, he was with BB&T as a senior vice president and senior corporate banker in the Greater Washington, D.C., region.

    Mr. Ragheb has a B.A. in Management from Hiram College in Ohio, and graduate studies in Finance at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. He is active in various charitable and community organizations, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for St. James’ Children’s School in Potomac.
  • Phil Ayoub Vice President
    Relationship Manager
    Phil Ayoub is a vice president and relationship manager for City National Bank’s Commercial Banking team in Washington, D.C., covering the Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Ayoub works directly with middle market companies to provide comprehensive solutions for all of their commercial banking needs. Services include credit, depository, equipment finance, treasury management, international banking, and institutional solutions.

    Mr. Ayoub has over 10 years of commercial banking experience. Prior to joining City National Bank, Mr. Ayoub held a series of progressive positions in the Washington D.C. region at TD Bank and BB&T in middle market lending and specialty lending roles (including a focus in Government Contractor Lending).

    Mr. Ayoub has a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a double concentration in Finance and Accounting from Elizabethtown College and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree from The Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business. Mr. Ayoub has been active in various nonprofit and community organizations and has held several board member positions.
  • Lorraine Bains Vice President
    Treasury Management Team Lead
    Lorraine Bains is a vice president and treasury management team lead with City National Bank’s Treasury Services division. Based out of Washington, D.C., she is responsible for providing consultative expertise in treasury management process and cash flow analysis. She is dedicated to working with businesses to enhance efficiency, mitigate risk and achieve business objectives through improved practices and controls.

    Ms. Bains has extensive banking industry experience serving the needs of business clients and corresponding banks. Most recently, she held positions at Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo), after being at Bank of the West for 10 years as a relationship manager and treasury management consultant. She holds a Certified Treasury Professional credential, has a Healthcare Banker certification and also received City National’s prestigious President’s Circle honor.

    Ms. Bains earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Philosophy from Claremont McKenna College and holds a master’s degree from Claremont Graduate University with a focus on business and policy. She currently serves on the Claremont McKenna College Alumni Association Board of Directors; she previously served on the Board of Trustees.
